Do It All Again
02:17
|
|||
We’ve crisscrossed this country a dozen times or more/ Played in every bar room & slept on every floor/ We're Downing pots of coffee as we run out the door/ Ah, we’re about to do it all again
We roll into a pub, it’s an old familiar place/ Sit down at the bar & I see a friendly face/ I order up my whiskey & feel its warm embrace/ Ah, we're about to do it all again
CHORUS:
I don’t know where I’m destined for/ I want nothing more/ Every night I am reborn/ You can come along my friends
BRIDGE
Hold tight/ Tonight/ When it feels right/ Let it go/ C’mon let it go!
Drinking shots of whiskey & pouring back some beers/ Toasting to the evening with all of you so dear/ Tuning up our instruments we're warming up the gear/ Ah, we're about to do it all again

Whiskey From the Still
04:05
|
|||
Well, I know you like your coffee/ Straight black or dressed to kill/ But me I’m drinking whiskey/ Straight from the still
CHORUS
Whiskey in the morning/ Whiskey after three/ To all those who like whiskey/ Come drink it with me
I know you like your red wine/ It seems you never get your fill/ But me I’m drinking whiskey/ Straight from the still
You started drinking those hard seltzers, didn’t you?/ Oh, those bubbles give you thrills/ But I’d rather have my whiskey/ Straight from the still
Then there’s those hoppy, hoppy IPA beers/ Man, to me stuff it taste like swill/ That’s why I’m drinking whiskey/ Clean, fresh & straight from the still

It Feels Good
02:49
|
|||
A shot in the dark & I’m over the moon drinks will be here soon/ Double shots of whiskey on a sunny afternoon/ Drinking in the day at our regular saloon/ Yeah, yeah, yeah it feels good
Claire's in the corner alone with her porter & Tom’s grabbing another round/ A chill in the air & I’m keenly aware that we’re all here getting plowed/ Stories & jokes & little white lies a song erupts in the crowd/
Yeah, yeah, yeah it feels good
CHORUS
You’re with us/ Drink & cuss/ C’mon down/ To the public house/ Sing, scream & shout/ Yeah, yeah, yeah it feels good
Jigs & reels on the stereo the barman buys a round/ Stouts & porters in bloody big pints, enough to get you drowned/ Hanging with our crew on the shady part of town/ Yeah, yeah, yeah it feels good
The sun it is setting & I am betting that someone’ll buy me a beer/ The band starts to diddle – guitar & a fiddle,
tin whistle & a balladeer/ There’s no place I’d rather be than here/ Yeah, yeah, yeah it feels good

Bottom of the Bottle
04:02
|
|||
CHORUS
Abandon hope when you enter here/ Bottom of the bottle of whiskey or beer/ Fortunes gained & disappear
Abandon hope when you enter here
Drinking, thinking you do what you do/ The barman cometh & he’s coming for you/ Pints & quarts & little
shots too/ Don’t step out of line & you’ll get through
Your head is spinning or is it the room?/ Another round's ordered, it’ll be here soon/ Pay your debts or fall into ruin/ Tonight we’re gonna howl at the moon
Morning comes & you wake up dead/ Drums & bass are banging in your head/ You want to get off, but instead/ Shake off the night & roll out of bed
BRIDGE
When it’s time to make amends/ Look around for all of my friends/ They’re where they’ve always been/
At the end of the bar & they’re doing it again
Neon’s buzzing, smoke-stained haze/ This is where you spend most of your days/ Singing the spirits' mighty praise/ If you can't see straight then lower your gaze

Barrel of Whiskey
03:44
|
|||
The lads they called me out one night/ Drink that barrel of whiskey boy/ Didn’t know if I could do it but I’s determined to enjoy/ I rolled my sleeves up & got my good cup down/ I stared into that barrel & then I went to town!
CHORUS
I drank a barrel of whiskey, it’s a task I had to face/ Lesser men won’t do it, but it’s something I embraced/ I drank a barrel of whiskey, it’s gone without a trace/ My friends all cheered me on as I won that drinking race
The first few sips were easy, then I felt the burn/ My throat was in flames, but I kept chugging turn by turn/ I started seeing double, then threes and fours and fives/ I’s halfway through that barrel, but I was still alive
Three-quarters through the barrel, I thought that I might burst/ What started as a game had now become a curse/ I dove into the barrel leading head first/ Thankfully I am a man who’s blessed with a great thirst
BRIDGE
I stumbled & I swayed/ Soldiered on despite the pain/ Feeling weak & weary/ I’s determined to maintain
I made it to the end, felt like a champ oh YES!/ I might never drink that much again, but I sure loved the test/ I drank the whole damn barrel, it was good to the last drop/ I drank & drank & drank & drank & drank until I stopped!

Place to Lay My Head
04:30
|
|||
Never spoke was a truer word/ Can’t go home again/ At least that’s what I’ve heard/ No forgiveness for my sins/ I’ll leave it all behind/ I can’t go back to find/ I need a place
to lay my head
My ship must be lost at sea/ Not a penny to my name/ ‘Cause it’s never coming in for me/ I don’t think it can be tamed/ Broken bottles & empty halls/ Shacked up
in a one-hole stall/ I need a place to lay my head
My destination’s unknown/ Still I must be
moving on/ Nowhere to call my own/
In the morning I’ll be gone/ To try & quiet
my mind/ That’s the one thing I’ve yet to find/
I need a place to lay my head
BRIDGE
Well, I dream of a better place/
Wide open space/ Where I can
see your face/ One more time
I never made the show/ Somewhere
I missed a turn/ I set out a long time
ago/ Oh, the bridges how they burn/
I can’t miss if I never take a shot/
I gave it all I've got/ I need a place to
lay my head
